This Shipping Policy explains how Madelia Designs processes, packages, and ships your order. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. By placing an order with us, you agree to this Shipping Policy.

2. Order processing
- Orders are usually processed within 1–3 business days of payment being received.
- Orders placed on weekends, public holidays, or during sale periods may take slightly longer to process.
- You will receive an order confirmation email after placing your order and a dispatch email with tracking details (where available) once it ships.
- We are not able to make changes to an order once it has been dispatched.
3. Shipping within Australia
We ship Australia-wide. Estimated delivery time is 4–20 business days from the date of dispatch.

*Delivery timeframes are estimates from the date of dispatch (not from the date the order is placed) and are not guaranteed. Delivery times can vary depending on your location (metro vs regional/remote), the carrier, and other factors outside our control.
We ship to all Australian states and territories, including PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers where the carrier allows. Deliveries to regional and remote areas are generally at the upper end of the estimated timeframe.
4. International shipping

If we ship to your country, estimated delivery times and costs will be displayed at checkout. Please note:
- International delivery times typically range from 11–21 business days, depending on destination and customs processing.
- Customs duties, import taxes, and other charges levied by the destination country are the responsibility of the customer. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict them in advance.
- If a parcel is refused or returned to us due to unpaid customs charges, the customer is responsible for any return shipping costs, and a refund (if issued) will exclude original shipping costs.
5. Shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination, parcel weight, and selected service. The total cost will be shown before you confirm your order.
6. Tracking your order
Once your order ships, we will email you a tracking number (where the selected service provides one). You can use this to follow your parcel via the carrier’s website. Please allow up to 24 hours after dispatch for tracking information to appear in the carrier’s system.
7. Delivery
- Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Once the carrier marks an item as delivered, responsibility for it passes to you.
- Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We are not responsible for orders sent to an incorrect or incomplete address that you have provided.
- If you are not home, the carrier may leave your parcel in a safe place, with a neighbour, or take it to a collection point in line with their policy.
- If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address or because the parcel was unclaimed, we may charge a re-delivery fee.
8. Delays
While we work hard to get your order to you on time, we cannot guarantee delivery dates. Delays can occur due to:
- High order volumes (especially during festivals, sales, and holiday periods)
- Carrier delays or service disruptions
- Weather events or other circumstances outside our control
- Customs processing for international orders
We appreciate your patience. If your parcel has not arrived within a reasonable time after the estimated delivery window, please contact us so we can investigate with the carrier.
9. Lost or damaged in transit
- Lost parcels: If a parcel appears to be lost in transit, please contact us within 14 days of dispatch (for domestic) or 30 days of dispatch (for international). We will lodge an enquiry with the carrier and, where the item is confirmed lost, send a replacement or issue a refund.
- Damaged in transit: If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the parcel and the damaged item. We will arrange a replacement or refund.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by these timeframes.
